Digital Foiling
Digital Foiling is our standard Foiling method you can be quoted on our foil products directly here. It doesn't require the use of plates like the traditional methods – it’s printed directly from your file; resulting in a flat finish without any texture or embossing. Unlike Block Foiling, the Digital Foiling has no set up costs, so it's perhaps a more affordable way to make your design shine.
Digital Foiling is available on Silk, Uncoated and Trucard paper stocks (all with velvet lamination because that's what helps it stick) and our White Gloss sticker stock.
Block Foiling
Traditional Foil Blocking (or hot foil stamping) is a more involved process applying metallic foil to paper or card and using heated plates (or die) to press it in. This leaves your foiled elements slightly debossed and textured, this is because the Foil is hot-pressed onto your card and works best on uncoated, thicker paper stocks.
